Association of Child Protection Professionals – Event Lead
We are looking for a dynamic self-starter with events management and marketing experience to lead our programme of learning events over the next year. The Association of Child Protection Professionals (AoCPP) is a charity seeking to reduce harm to children by working with, and providing access to research and support for, adults working in child protection and safeguarding. We have been driving improvement in child protection since 1979 by working with experienced professionals to influence policy and practice.
As part of our support we offer a range of CPD and learning events, conferences and workshops, including a triennial international Congress. We are looking to expand our small York-based team by appointing a talented and creative individual to drive the development and delivery of our events programme to meet the current needs of busy professionals. You will need to have a professional, proactive and creative approach; good events and marketing experience; and be comfortable working with external stakeholders, suppliers, and partners. You will report to the Director, working alongside the existing administrative team and directing their work in relation to the events programme.
Position: A fixed term, part-time contract of 22.5 hours per week (60%) for 1 year initially. Location: Ideally to be office based at the head office in York, but homeworking will be considered for the right candidate. Some travel and overnight stays will be required (within the UK and with substantial notice). Reports to: Director of AoCPP Salary: £15,600 per annum for 22.5 hours per week (equivalent to £26,000 full-time)
