Since 2017 our little family business has gone from strength to strength. Parties, Hen do’s, Wheel Courses and Wheel Nights, it was all happening. So when we faced the prospect of spending our 3rd Birthday in lockdown we needed some fast action. After the initial (and very intense) lockdown period we decided to offer a delivery service, which helped to keep our business afloat and keep people safe at home. Borrow a Basket was born!
Our customers reaction to this has been amazing! Notes, cards, biscuits and chocolate have been left in baskets when we have come to collect pottery ready for firing. That’s when this ‘home schooling’ mum started the Couch to 5k Challenge! People have been so grateful for us helping make a difficult time a bit less difficult. Together we have made birthdays memorable, and date nights fun!
As restrictions ease I look back now and cannot imagine not having this time. It’s made me connect with people I didn’t know in a much more emotional way. The world is full of good people. Going to peoples homes, conversations in front gardens, seeing their artwork, it really has selfishly enriched my life to. THANK YOU.
On the 4th July we will open our doors again to sit down painters. We will open our pretty yard to 6 painters from different households to sit together 2 meters apart and paint. We have removed several tables inside the studio so we can continue to adhere to the 2 meter rule between households, because yours and our staffs safety is more important to us that profit. Bookings are open now. You get 2 hours and our undivided attention.
For those of you who need or want to stay home we will continue to offer our online Shop and free delivery of our baskets. If your happy to come to the studio you can come and peruse our new fancy shelves of over 250 different shapes and build your basket to take away!
All we can say is Thank You. Awesome isn’t a big enough word.
