Join our Bushcraft Weekend for adults on 24/25 Jul 21 for just £110.
Bushcraft is surviving and thriving in the natural environment. On this exciting bushcraft weekend with Forest Quest you will learn and practice a range of skills some of which have been used for thousands of years and others will use the best of modern equipment.
The weekend is held in our unique woodland which has enough facilities to make it comfortable but wild enough to immerse you in a natural environment. We will have a go at fire lighting including fire by friction, shelter building, tool use, water purification, and discover something of our amazing woodland nature. Food is provided which we will cook over the fire and we will learn how to make a bivouac shelter to sleep in overnight.
Directions to the wood and a list of the minimal kit required will be provided. Any particular dietary requirements can be met and, in case you’re worried, there won’t be any bushtucker trials!
Forest Quest has been running outdoor bushcraft and forest school activities for over 10 years and your instructor, Andrew, holds a Certificate of Competency in bushcraft from the Institute of Outdoor Learning. We are located just 10 miles north of York, and the weekend is just £110 per person. The number of participants is strictly limited to ensure we can provide a personal service, but it does mean you may need to get in quick! The weekend is run at a relaxed pace with a friendly, encouraging style to ensure you leave us with new skills and feeling refreshed.
