Curiosity. Creativity. Confidence.
The Mount Junior School’s all-girls primary education provides a strong foundation for every girl’s learning journey. Our bespoke curriculum is tailored to motivate and enthuse girls, taught by a team of Primary specialists with expertise in the mind-set of young girls.
We provide a rounded education which follows our Quaker values of simplicity, truth, equality, peace, social justice and sustainability; this fosters our Junior girls’ self-belief, independent thinking, kindness and sensitivity to others.
Whatever they do in or out of the classroom, from the age of 2 onwards, Mount girls’ role models are older girls. This subtle, yet powerful dynamic consistently reminds girls that they can achieve and be kind; they see it all around them, every day.
We support girls, encouraging them to take intellectual risks and to live adventurously. Because we listen to their views and value their opinions, girls know they can contribute positively and make a difference within the School. Through this supportive and nurturing atmosphere, girls learn from a young age to be secure in themselves and trust their choices. The girls thrive as they develop confidence, curiosity, creativity and genuinely enjoy learning.
