City Cruises have a host of daytime and evening cruises for you to choose from this February…
Sightseeing: Kids sail free with discounted daytime sightseeing family tickets (up to 3 children free with up to 2 adults) from the 17th to 23rd Feb.
Take home fascinating facts about the incredible history of York and its river from the live, sightseeing commentary delivered by our local skippers. Learn about York’s famous history of flooding and its previous prosperity as an inland port, all while sailing along the very river that brought the Romans and the Vikings to our beautiful city.
Afternoon Tea: And finally Afternoon Tea cruises return from Saturday 15th of February, sailing daily at 2:45pm.
Join us for a 1 hour and 30 minute cruise with a selection of dainty home-made sandwiches, fruit scone with preserve & cream and delicious finger desserts. All served with freshly brewed tea and coffee. This cruise sails from our King’s Staith Landing only.
The cruise will also include an informative commentary from our local, knowledgeable skipper as you sail through the city and then downstream to Bishopthorpe Palace, the stunning riverside residence of His Grace the Archbishop of York. Relaxing background music will play between the live commentary.
Alternatively, relax aboard one of our special Valentine’s sailings of our Floodlit Evening Cruise, a great way to while away an hour before or after an evening meal at one of York’s numerous nearby restaurants and hotels.
This 60-minute circular cruise will leisurely meander up and down the River Ouse as you listen to a relaxing blend of romantic background music. Our on board floodlights will illuminate the riverside for you, as you see the river-scape from a different perspective.
There are a choice of two departure times on both the 14th and 15th of February; 7:30pm and 9pm. Boarding commences 20 minutes before the departure time. Click here for details.
