Hi, I’m Debs. I am an independent midwife covering the whole of Yorkshire and beyond and I offer:

• family centred, home based and individualised midwifery care in the antenatal and postnatal period
• one off appointments
• birth planning sessions
• breastfeeding support
• previous birth exploration sessions that might be helpful if you are struggling with negative feelings from a previous birth

Over the last 20+ years my clients have taught me more than I thought I needed to know about being a good midwife, each one in a different way.

I am now even more convinced that a person’s pregnancy, birth and postnatal experience has the potential to be highly transformative, joyful and empowering.

However, I am also deeply conscious of the fact that sometimes pregnancy or birthing a baby can be the catalyst for physical, emotional or spiritual difficulties, and I am committed to walk alongside you through the sometimes hard to navigate muddle that early parenthood can bring.
