Join us for the first Fossgate Festival of the season on the 5th of May – a great day out for the whole family on York’s greatest street!
Fossgate is one of York’s oldest streets and is much loved by locals and visitors alike. Lined with independent shops, cafes and bars, and home to the beautiful Merchant Adventurers’ Hall, the street has bags of character and puts on a party like no other.
#FossFest19 is a unique way to experience York city life and enjoy Fossgate’s unqiue independent offerings in a family-friendly, continental-style street atmosphere. Relax in one of the street’s cafes or bars, peruse the shops and stalls, play games with the kids, walk the dog, meet local charities, listen to some live music or get up and dance!
The festival runs from 12 noon to 7:30pm. Bars and restaurants will remain open later according to their usual opening hours. The street will be closed to vehicles and free reign will be given to pedestrians.
Admission is free to all.
