The Lunar New Year, Chinese New Year or Spring Festival celebrates the beginning of a new year on the traditional Chinese calendar. This year it falls on Tuesday 1 February and it is the year of the tiger!
To celebrate Lunar New Year in York this year, the BID has joined forces with HSBC and Make It York to decorate the St Helens Square area with lanterns and Chinese dragons.
