Jo Cox’s words from her maiden speech to Parliament have inspired a movement up and down the country. Jo’s family, friends and supporters have launched The Great Get-Together, encouraging us to share time with our neighbours and communities and celebrate everything we have in common.
Come along to the Rowntree Park event in the events space and let’s share afternoon tea and a natter. Bring a picnic, a rug to sit on and a cake for our community tea table.
If you’re a musical type, bring along your acoustic instrument and join in the community jam session!
We’ll also have a book-swapping table, so bring along a spare book and discover a new treasure to take away with you.
