Spent lockdown dreaming of trying something different or learning a new skill?
Flying Ducks Trampoline and Gymnastics Club are running a 7 week taster course.
During this time we will give your child the chance to try both trampolining and gymnastics so they can pick what suits them best. They will work towards the first badge from each discipline and learn the first routine. The final week will be a show where children can show off all the skills they have learned to their adoring fans (subject to Government guidance)!
Our hope is that by the end of the course we will have given children the opportunity to try all elements of gymnastics and trampolining and they will have found a sport they love. Children who have completed the course will be offered a place in our junior squad, which enters competitions across Yorkshire.
Trampolining and Gymnastics are a fantastic way for children to build key skills such as balance, coordination and core stability as well working in a group and burning off some excess energy. The course details are below, if you have any questions please get in touch. We do have lots of other courses for children of different ages too.

A bit about us
We are a small family-run British Gymnastic club that currently runs lessons in York and Wetherby. We believe that the first priority for children doing a sport is that they should enjoy it! With that in mind all our lessons are mixed ability and all children will be given the chance to compete if they want to. Several of our children have competed (and medalled!) in competitions across Yorkshire, but equally important is that we won’t force anyone to compete if they decide that area of the sport is not for them.
In essence, we will support and encourage children to get the most out of their lessons regardless of their goals. This ethos is a key element of our award schemes which are not linear as not everyone progresses in the same order, for example you might prefer back somersaults to front somersaults and we believe this individuality should be celebrated!
