Established 11 years ago, we have hosted approximately 100 events each year in our wonderful forest near Easingwold – a mix of regular sessions, one off themed specials, parties, school events, survival activities, overnight camps and so much more!
This year, we are pleased to introduce two brand new regular sessions.
After 2 successful trial days, we are delighted to offer Parent and Toddler sessions on alternate Monday afternoons. Events will be led by 2 of Forest Quest’s experienced leaders who will provide a range of activities for you and your toddler to access and enjoy. Based entirely outdoors in the forest, you will find a surprising array of features including the covered roundhouse for nappy changing and basic toilet and handwashing facilities
As well as the natural toys the children will discover themselves – mostly sticks! – we will provide appropriate toys and crafts to help children get into the swing of the great outdoors and enjoy their time immersed in nature. Who doesn’t enjoy making a pie in the mud kitchen? Sessions cost £6 for adult and first child, £3 per additional child with a free session if you book all 6 in advance. The first Parent and Toddlers will be Monday March 14th between 1 and 2.30pm.
Our second new session for this season is a Forest Craft with Forest Bathing Session for Adults on Thursday evenings, 5.30 – 7.30pm. These sessions (first one 31 Mar) combine the learning of a craft or skill with a period of Forest Bathing. Those interested can book as many sessions as they wish and choose which skills they would like to try or book all 6 to get a free session. (6 sessions for the price of 5!) Each session will cost £10 and be led by Wolf, our senior Forest School Leader and Bushcraft expert.
Forest Quest also run Forest Fun Parties from age 6 to… well the oldest so far is 50! Can you beat that? These are usually held for 2 hours on Sunday mornings and participants enjoy a range of team challenges and ‘hands-on’ activities. A picnic area is available for you to provide a party picnic for your guests following the event if you wish.
Forest Quest love enthusing children and adults with all the fun that a forest can offer. Our Saturday Forest School Clubs remain hugely popular (get your child’s name on the waiting list if you are interested) but there also one-off special and themed events (sign up to our e-mailing list for priority notification), and bespoke events planned and organised just for you, including exciting overnight wild camping in the forest.
Being outside and enjoying nature has been proven to have a significant effect on our mental health and wellbeing. Under the expert guidance of our seasoned outdoors Forest Quest Leaders, we can help you gain the confidence to ensure you and your family make the most of the wonderful natural world.
