Baby Ballet

Hi! I’m Miss Lauren and I’m delighted to bring the magic of babyballet to children in the York area.

My babyballet class timetable can be found by following the link here where you can register for a three week introductory trial for just £15.

Babyballet is a fun, award-winning pre-school dance concept for girls and boys from 6 months to 6 years. With schools right across the UK, babyballet dance classes allow babies, toddlers and young children to enjoy the physical and social benefits of ballet, song and dance in a safe, caring, positive and informal environment.
With a real focus on learning through play, the unique babyballet syllabus offers four key stages of ballet and tap classes where every child can build their confidence and social skills, learning manners, discipline and respect while developing their basic ballet technique, coordination, musicality, balance, posture and rhythm.

I look forward to welcoming you and your little stars to the magical world of babyballet very soon!

Baby Swimmers

image010Come Swimming, Be Safe, Have Fun!

Sing and play through our structured awards programme and see your baby progress to a confident little swimmer. From 6 weeks old to 12 years old.

Babies can start at Baby Swimmers as soon as you and baby are ready and happy to do so and through fun and games we progressively develop your babies  natural reflexes to encourage voluntary swimming movements in the water which will build a foundation for your baby to swim unaided.

Baby Swimmers benefits both parents and babies as whilst you are interacting and bonding in the water together, you are also benefiting from learning water safety and increased water confidence. It is also physically and mentally beneficial for your baby and enjoyable for you both.

Research has shown that early swimming can benefit your baby by helping to develop water confidence, strength, co-ordination & alertness, whilst also learning water safety and having fun.

We follow the Starfish Awards through the STA and once children are aged over 2 they progress on to the Stanley Awards.  Once your child reaches 5,  they progress onto Swimmers Academy, where we develop swimming techniques and build stamina, classes here are for beginners as well as children that have been through the Baby Swimmers courses.

Kilima Hotel, Holgate Road on Mondays
Roko on Tues, Wed and Friday for pre schoolers
New Earswick on Tues and Thursday for pre schoolers
Emperors Gym on Thursday for preschoolers

I want to ride my bike

Hi, My name is Dave Burns.

I live in Harrogate, North Yorkshire and that’s where i do my stuff…Yorkshire. Most of my training is done at Saltergate School and if in school time at Killinghall Moor. I like riding bikes too.

As a National Standard, British Cycling accredited Instructor for Bikeability Levels 1, 2 and 3 I can get anyone riding in a fun and friendly way. I am also a Qualified HSBC UK/British Cycling Level 1 Ride Leader… and also being a British Cycling Level 2 Coach also helps… with plenty tricks and resources up my sleeve 🙂

I can get your precious ones started on a life of two wheeled fun and adventures from mastering balance bikes to proper pedalling to school or for weekend exploring.
Kids shouldn’t have all the fun though so I can get you, a friend or a whole gang of pals pedalling too. Whether you’ve never even sat on a bike, you’re just a bit rusty or you want to take your skills and cycling confidence to the next level for commuting, fitness or just fun I can teach you how to ride happily, healthily and safely wherever you want.

Decades as a super keen rider and test consultant to the UK’s best selling bike magazines means I can even help you choose the best equipment, learn how to plan routes that suit your needs and ride them with you if that helps.

I’m fully insured through British Cycling, a qualified Emergency First Aider and have a full and complete Enhanced DBS certificate 🙂

Whether you’re a teacher, group leader or just a two-wheeled wobbler who’d rather be a Wiggins please leave me a contact number via the contacts page and I’ll be in touch.

Cycle tuition, training and coaching from 1-100

Cycle lessons for kids. Bike lessons for adults. Learn to ride a bike. Cycle tuition. It all boils down to one single word… fun :-)”
