Pools, Paddling, Waterparks, & Seasides York

York Leisure Centre opened in 2021, as part of the York Community Stadium Leisure Complex located in Huntington, York. The centre includes a 25m swimming pool, learner pool and splash pad. As well as a large spacious gym, fitness class studios, multi sports hall, Clip N Climb arena and 3G pitches.

Clip N Climb is a fun interactive indoor climbing arena where adults and kids 4+ can enjoy some healthy action-packed fun. No climbing experience is necessary as a full safety briefing and equipment is given before you start.

Swimming: The Main Pool is available for fitness lane swimming, and swim for all sessions The Splash Pad is shallow water paddling pool for under 8’s with an interactive water play area perfect for building water confidence. Booking also includes access to the Learner Pool. These sessions can be found under ‘Swim For All’ – select Main Pool, or Learner Pool (includes Splash Pad) Lockers take £1.

Gym and Fitness classes are available for members and non members. There are a number of fitness classes scheduled throughout the day at times to suit all.

At the Web Adventure Park you’ll find lots to entertain all ages whatever the weather!

Creepy Crawlies is the huge indoor play area with lots of activities including huge slides and climbing. There are separate Play Zones incorporating baby and toddler areas, a sensory baby area, ball cannons and a huge play frame for over 5s, including a ninja course for the older children to test strength and agility. PLUS our role play village “Buggington” with a shop, cottage, a vets and a DIY store, and a Crafty Corner for children who feel creative.

Outdoors there’s a large park to explore which includes a mini beach, water play area, ride-ons (including go-karts and toddle bikes), tractor area, two huge bouncy pillows and double tower slides.

Our Animal Zone houses a variety of animals, including guinea pigs, pigs, ponies, and more.

We have plenty of seating indoors and out and a café which serves scrumptious homemade, freshly prepared dishes. Ample parking on site.

Weekends and holidays we have an amazing addition to the park, fairground rides! These are included in the entry fee.

We also host a variety of parties, including laser tag parties.

Allerthorpe Lakeland Park (Near Pocklington)

Distance from York: 14 miles

Large lake with canoes, paddle boards and boats to hire, circular walk around the lake and a shallow area of the lake roped off that you can paddle in. Also an AquaPark – inflatable obstacle course on the lake (age/height/swimming ability restrictions apply). Playpark and cafe with children’s menu.

Bebra Gardens is open all year round, 24 hours a day. The paddling pool is open from Spring Bank Holiday (at the end of May) to the first week in September.
