These sessions are either on a 1-2-1 basis or in small groups.

The teens can choose a complementary therapy to try (any form of massage and reflexology, facial massage), we also listen and chat, give advice on herbal remedies, self care tips and most importantly offer a non-judgemental environment.

Relax Sessions for Babies, Kids, Teens, Adults & Pregnancy

Just Relax In Pregnancy – Mondays, 1:00-1:45
For pregnant ladies to just pause, breath and take time to connect on the unborn baby. Focus on relaxation techniques such as stretching, self massage, breathing, and some time to listen to a meditation

Baby Mindful – Mondays, 12:15-1:00
Sessions beneficial for babies (0-6m) and parents too. These calm and peaceful sessions are designed to give space to interact with baby but also just to hold and bond. Gentle stretches and strokes for baby to relax, song/movement and sensory play to stimulate and interact and aid development. Breathing exercises and listening to a lovely baby friendly guided visualisation help relax mummy or daddy too.

Relax Kids (Magical Adventures) – Mondays – 3:45-4:45- full until after Easter. Option of extra class added 4:50-5:50
Sessions for 5-11’s to explore emotions and learn skills to aid relaxation and manage these emotions and build self confidence. There are different themes every half term…the new theme will be ‘Happiness Adventures’. The sessions incorporate fun games, yoga based stretches, self/peer massage, breathing exercises, positive self talk and affirmations and listening to visualisations/meditations with a fluffy blanket!

Chill Skills- Survival Sessions (for Yr 6’s) – Monday, Haxby Costa Coffee.4:50-5:50
These sessions will help children how to beat test and exam stress. To give tools and techniques to keep calm, concentrate,reduce anxiety and have self belief.

Charge Up (tweens and teens) Mondays, option of class at 4:50-5:50 (dependant of numbers) Also once a month on a Sunday Morning
Sessions designed to help young people understand the brain, how it reacts to anxiety, anger and other big emotions and how relaxation techniques can benefit and help manage with these feelings and emotions. Covers stress relief/emotion management, identity, healthy sleep and mindfulness.

Just Relax (Adults) – Mondays, 1:45-2:45 Once a month on a Sunday Morning
Take time and space to experience relaxation and explore elements of mindfulness. Learn some tips and suggestions for how can calm down that busy brain when at home and work.

Teen Yoga at the Stables

Young people need yoga. Teenagers have busy and often demanding lives, juggling school, friends, relationships, studying and socialising. Our teenage yoga class offers a welcoming and inclusive space where teens can ease their stresses and pressures.

Teenage yoga has many mental and emotional benefits: a regular practice helps builds a positive relationship with the body, reduces anxiety with the use of breathing techniques, improves concentration levels and memory retention.

Physical benefits of teenage yoga include establishing good posture and maintaining flexibility whilst building strength. Yoga can remind the body how to relax, can i…mprove sleep, co-ordination and balance, and supports growing bodies.

There is time before class starts for students to arrive, get changed, and have a snack and chat.

Mondays 3:45pm arrival for class to start at 4pm, finishing 5pm.

Together Wild Parent and Child Gatherings

Join us with your child (aged 5 – 13 years) as we encourage compassion for ourselves and each other with nature-inspired activities, meditation and craft.

Young Yogis

Bring your youngsters along to Young Yogis at Millfield Fitness Studio for 45 minutes of yoga & relaxation, it’s a whole load of fun and a great way to get your kids feeling active and stress-free!

Ages 8 and up
Tuesday 4:45 – 5:30pm
£5 Drop In per class, or £24 for a block of 6 classes
