I am a PhD student and interested in low mood/depression during pregnancy and the first year after giving birth. I will be exploring perinatal low mood/depression by interviewing women and healthcare professionals.
Before starting recruitment for the study, I need to make sure that all the materials that I will use are understandable by mothers and address the aims of the study.
As a mother and someone who is using healthcare services (regardless of your experience of low mood/depression), I would be grateful for your comments on the design of the written materials I will be using to recruit women to the study. These materials include participant information sheets, consent form, demographics form, contact details sheet, poster and leaflets, guides for conducting the interview, and the lay summary of the study. I would like to send you copies of this information prior to the meeting.
The meeting will be held in a cafe in York city centre and we will have a cup of tea/coffee and cake while going through each document to comment on anything you would like me to change or which is not easy to understand.
I will provide refreshments and I do not expect the meeting to last longer than 90 min.
If you have any more questions and/or interested in the design of the written materials please get in touch with myself Semra Pinar; Email: firstname.lastname@example.org.
