Becoming a parent and raising our little ones is incredibly rewarding although at times it can get a little lonely & can be tough to find the right space to connect with other mums & dads going through similar experiences.
StarSeed Postnatal Cafe aims to provide a safe & friendly environment that is not only full of friendly faces but also offers professional & specialist support for all things parent-baby related.
Mel Robinson of All Things Birth & Beyond will lead 2 postnatal support groups each day.
121 breastfeeding support & a 5 week breastfeeding support group with Claire Wells (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant) is also on offer. A weighing station lets parents see just how much their little ones have grown.
Emma Bridges of Holistic Therapy will be providing satellite sessions for parents and babies and the day will close with a 45 minute session with Daniela Pala from My Still Point using Reiki as a means to connect and support in parenting journeys.
Special guests include the Sling Library to help parents with baby carrying and recommend the right sling according to individual needs & Music at Heart CIC who support young parents and enhance parent-child bonding through the music we share
Our aim is to provide a space that encourages the formation of supportive relationships amongst new parents while having specialist and expert facilitators on site to help with any parenting challenges being faced.
Emily Deckers of StarSeed Catering (formerly YNC) will be providing a wonderful hot meal, unlimited hot & cold drinks and lots of delicious cake to make the day extra special.
The cafe runs from 9:30 to 1pm at the Quaker Meeting House on the following dates: January 16th, 23rd, & 30th / February 6th, 13th & 27th / March 5th, 12th, 19th, & 26th & costs £20 for full access to all specialists as well as all food & beverages.
There will also be opportunities to rent a sling that might take your fancy for £6/2 week rental.
