Come and join Helen your post natal exercise specialist for a fun and effective Buggy Workout session in West Bank Park Holgate

Friday 10.30-11.30am

The class focuses on improving your cardiovascular fitness, strength and resistance training, core work and pushchair posture. The sessions are designed specifically with new mums in mind and cater for all fitness levels. Baby comes too so there’s no need for childcare. Working out in the great outdoors is beneficial for both yourself and baby. Classes cost £5.50 and are booked in blocks of four at a time.

Join our fun new mummy with baby workout class, held at Fitness Space York on Layerthorpe in the city every Tuesday and Friday morning from 9.30am-10.30am.

Designed as a safe and gentle reintroduce to fitness following childbirth, classes are fun, engaging and post-natal focused, led by our expert post-natal qualified instructor Sarah. Are you a Mummy with a little one under 2 looking for a class to do on the east side of York?
Would you like to get fitter, socialise and make new friends? We do 30 minutes exercise followed by 30 minutes playgroup whilst you enjoy a well-deserved cuppa.

Classes are relaxed, friendly and suitable for all stages of post pregnancy. Taken by Rachel who is a ladies only personal trainer, pilates instructor and pre and post-natal specialist.
We work on everything from….

  • Helping to recover and regain fitness with post pregnancy safe exercises.
  • Locating core muscles again post pregnancy, diastasis recti separation correction and re-building core strength.
  • Strengthening the pelvic floor, lower back and pelvis thus reducing lower back pains.
  • Aerobic exercise for a healthy heart and weight.
  • Resistance training for toning and strength.
  • All are low impact, with modifications and progression making them suitable for all the newest of mama’s and the ‘give me something harder’ mama’s .

These Classes are a fantastic place to come and enjoy a good stretch with some flowing Yoga movements. They are wonderfully beneficial for creating a sense of well-being while helping you feel comfortable with your body, while pregnant. We will enjoy some deep breathing with specific breathing techniques for birthing. Pregnancy Yoga is a great way to stay active while staying flexible & mobile throughout.
There will be a guided relaxation towards the end of the class, that will leave us floating home…but not before we have a little social tea, chocolate & chat After class (optional) but a great place to make new friends
