Alison Goodwin Yoga
Hi! I’m Alison. As well as pregnancy classes, I offer supportive post-natal classes for you and baby, in person from 12th April for the supportive community you need in that precious first year. Don’t tell the others but these are my favourite classes…! I set them up 14 years ago after finishing my mat leave with my first baby. I’d had a tough year and found it hard to find spaces where it felt ok to talk about how I was feeling. In my classes we have circle time to celebrate the highs – first smile, roll, tooth – and hold you gently through the sleepless nights and worries about getting it “right”. We affirm you as a fabulous parent who knows what’s best for your baby and encourage you to trust your own instincts and find your own way. Oh, and we do a bit of yoga – pelvic floor, tummy, upper back and shoulders, and of course we relaaaaax, getting you relaxed is often the best way to settle an upset baby and it’s great for both of you. I also offer Soul Birth debriefing if your birth wasn’t all you hoped for – look out for my blog soon on MUMbler.

Three sessions will run Monday to Friday – a 9am session for babies (anyone pre-walking) and 10.30am and 12 noon sessions for toddlers who have now found their feet! Sessions are £5 per child (an accompanying adult goes free), booked in blocks of four, with tea, coffee and biscuits available for parents as their young ones play.
