The talented team at Blue Light Theatre are delighted to bring you something a little different – a Brand New Story based on everyone’s favourite fairytale, Cinderella.
Have you ever wondered how the Fairy Godmother got her powers? How she became Cinderella’s Godmother? Or, why the Wicked Stepmother became so ‘Wicked’? From the pen of regular writer Perri Ann Barley, ‘Where The Magic Begins’ will take you on a journey into the past.
Performances are 29th, 30th and 31st January 2025 at 7.30pm PLUS a MATINEE performance on Saturday 1st February at 2pm at the Acomb Working Mens Club, York. Tickets are £10 Adults, £8 Concessions/Children and available via www.bluelight-theatre.co.uk or ring 07933 329654.

Cinderella’s wicked stepsisters treat her as their servant. She’s going to need all the magic her fairy godmother can muster if she is to meet her Prince Charming and find true love before midnight. With a script by Jon Monie (writer of this year’s production of Beauty and the Beast & winner of Best Script at the Great British Pantomime Awards 2019), this spectacular production will delight with its enchanting story, side-splitting comedy, lavish settings and adorable miniature ponies.
