The Summer Reading Challenge is back for 2024 in your local library!
Explore York Libraries and Archives are launching the new Summer Reading Challenge ‘Marvellous Makers‘ on Saturday 13 July 2024 at your local Explore library.
Children aged 4-11 can visit their local library to take part in this year’s Summer Reading Challenge and read six or more library books over the summer! There are stickers and other rewards for every book read, plus a medal and certification when your child completes the challenge!
If you have a child under 5 they can take part in the mini challenge.

This year you can be in with a chance to win family tickets for York Maze, Wonderlab, Jorvik, Grand Opera House, Aqua Splash, Clip βnβ Climb, and Inclusive Music Project Holiday Club. Children just need to sign up for the Challenge to be entered into the weekly prize draws across the summer holiday!
