Do you want to help survivors of sexual violence rebuild their lives?
Survive is recruiting a Support Worker to work with survivors of rape, sexual assault and child sexual abuse.
The post holder will be based at our York office, with the possibility of working in the office and from home. Occasional travel to Malton is also a requirement of the role. The role is initially for 12 months, however, could possibly become permanent subject to funding. The post holder will work with adult survivors of sexual violence who self-refer to Survive or are referred by partner agencies, including the Supporting Victims Unit.
The role involves working on our helpline and also some evening hours. The post holder must be able to work Mondays (afternoons). Other working days can include Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday (this can be flexible).
Successful candidates will need to undergo DBS checks (costs covered by Survive) and will be expected to deliver support sessions face-to-face, online or over the telephone.
Survive welcomes applications from members of the LGBTQIA+ and BAME communities or those with disabilities.
