At TiP we believe introducing STEAM into play at an early age paves the way for developing essential life skills. We inspire and instil the foundations of STEAM learning; creativity, co-operation, collaboration, tenacity, problem-solving, critical thinking, and the belief that mistakes are opportunities to learn. TiP Sessions (5-11 years)
Each half term we discover STEAM in a new and exciting topic. We build, craft, experiment and code the hour away, working together as a team and discussing the topic of choice. TiP sessions provide a new and exciting environment for children to engage with like-minded individuals who share a similar enthusiasm for learning.
Tuesdays – Knavesmire Primary School – 17:15 to 18:15
Wednesdays – Joseph Rowntree School – 18:00 to 19:00
Saturdays – Vale of York Academy – 09.45 to 10.45
TiP Pro (8+)
TiP Pro follows the same outline as sessions however these two hour clubs are exclusively for 8+. This allows for more in-depth project development and discovery. As well as investigating the current topic we also spend some of the session introducing basic coding. Using our Specialist Education Resources including Matata Lab, Scratch and LEGO Education® WeDo 2.0, children will develop an understanding of sequence, algorithm, debugging and advanced logic.
Tuesdays – Knavesmire Primary School – 18:15 to 20:15
Saturday – Vale of York – 10.45 to 12.45
You will also find TiP in the Clifton and South Bank area during the holidays for full days of STEM learning.
