It’s nearly half term, it’s nearly Halloween so what better activity than pumpkin picking? Here’s our pick (see what we did there?) of the best places around to pick a pumpkin and some ideas for a full day of pumpkin filled entertainment.
A favourite with York Mumblers to pick your own pumpkin. There are hundreds to choose from and there is even a wheelbarrow to help you get it to your car if you go for an extra large one! The Balloon Tree also has a café and outdoor play area if you fancy making an afternoon of it. Pumpkin prices depend on size.
A York Mumbler said: “We’ve been today, it’s lovely. I thought it was really reasonable for pumpkins. I got 2 small to medium ones £3.74 for both. Family members got large ones for £4.99 each. Play park is lovely too.”
