After a very wintery start, it’s lovely to see the sun coming out and some blue sky to remind us that it’s actually supposed to be Spring! Looking for signs of Spring is an annual tradition with me and my mini mumblers… I saw some crocus at the Knavesmire and even the odd daffodil sprouting out already from the city walls – give it a week or 2 and it will be the usual glorious yellow display there.. a good time to do a walk on the walls if you haven’t yet this year.
One of our favourite Springtime events is the Lambing Day at Askham Bryan College so we were really gutted to hear that it isn’t taking place this year! I thought a lot of you might be in the same situation of wanting to get your ‘baby animal’ fix so I’ve put together this list (with the help of some other mumblers!) of places you can visit with your mini mumblers to see lambs, chicks and even llamas to welcome in the Spring.
If you have any more places to add, just contact me here and I’ll get them added on.
If you’re busy planning your Easter holiday activities then remember to check out our dedicated page HERE with loads of great things going on in and around York to amuse your mini mumblers.
