The brand’s unique Christmas range, produced by the Yorkshire based company, includes beautifully designed rustic wooden ornaments, personalised decorations, stocking fillers and festive gifts.
Designed and crafted by Ric Van Opstal, the festive series complements the classic range of wooden homeware, gifts and furniture.
Woodcutter Creations launched back in 2017 and you may well have seen him at one of the local Christmas fairs or markets. With everything now going online Ric sells his collections at www.woodcuttercreations.com The boutique business has since been extending it’s range and followers over the years. Their style is unique and the passion and craftsmanship that goes into making each piece is evident.
Ric’s popular lines include engraved signs for homes and businesses, chopping boards, mirrors and coasters whilst more tailor-made pieces include personalised signs, bespoke furniture and commissions.
Ric combines the traditional symbols of Christmas and marries them with the beauty of nature. Nestled in the North Yorkshire countryside it is easy to see where the inspiration comes from.
He uses local woods to create handmade pieces that includes Christmas tree decorations, personalised wooden baubles, wooden bunting and mini wooden tree kits (perfect for the children to put together). The stocking fillers include wooden pencils, puzzles and engraved door signs.
“The decorations look stunning when they dress a tree or room whilst the wooden trees are standout pieces for a window sill, table or fireplace mantel. Each bauble is intricately cut and we can add a personalised touch with names or messages” says Ric.
The decorations can sit alongside your traditional tinsel and sparkles or are beautiful enough to stand alone. “They can really transform a home, says Ric, bringing the outdoors inside”
Ric continues, “The sustainable side of the decorations is hugely appealing. The wood we use is either sustainably sourced or even better taken from fallen trees, so it feels good to decorate your home with natural products. Each piece is durable which means collections and ornaments can grow year after year.”
