York Art Gallery

Spot the Turner, Warhol and Grayson Perry and surround yourself with some of the best ceramic art in the world at York Art Gallery. With a programme of changing exhibitions and events for all ages, there is always something new to see and do.

From 10 May – 8 September 2024 our special exhibition will be ‘National Treasures: Monet in York, The Water-Lily Pond’ which is part of the UK-wide celebration of the National Gallery’s 200th anniversary. Enjoy this world-famous work of art and learn more about Monet’s world, open air painting and those he influenced. Come and see the flower meadow behind the gallery and follow a trail of picture frames which we hope will inspire you to paint, draw or take pictures in the Museum Gardens. Check our website for a programme of activities running throughout the exhibition for families to get involved in.

Visit our families page to download activities to do on your visit, such as our Art Heroes Fact Sheets, and the Curious Create Colour Export colouring sheets.
