York Sands are a voluntary group of mums and dads whose baby or babies have died. We offer emotional support to anyone who has lost a baby or babies during pregnancy, at birth or shortly afterwards. Although every experience is different we understand how devastating the death of a baby can be.
Whether your baby has died recently or some time ago, the effects of grief can be overwhelming leaving you with feelings of shock, disorientation, isolation and exhaustion.
It can be hard to take in information, to make decisions or to imagine how you are going to cope. Therefore, whenever your baby died we are here to offer support, understanding, comfort and a listening ear.
We also offer information, advice and support to family, friends, health professionals or anyone who has been affected by the death of a baby.
