York Sling Library

York Sling Library provides expert support to enable local parents to carry their children in comfortable, safe slings or carriers.

Our volunteers currently run drop in library sessions at Knavesmire Children’s Centre, 9.30am – 12pm, each Monday morning in term time, health permitting! Cancellations are advertised on our social media – please check before setting out.

If you can’t attend an in person session please get in touch, we have a number of options for further help.

Sling Loans:

• Select a sling you’d like to trial at one of our sessions
• Two – four week loan period
• £10 hire fee is payable by PayPal. This covers our overheads.
• If you wish to get advice on a sling you already own please bring it along. Donations for fit checks are very welcome.
• If you need a sling but can not afford one please ask – there may be something suitable in our pay as you feel box.

Knavesmire Children’s Centre is accessed via Count de Burgh Terrace (YO23), at the rear of Knavesmire Primary School through the car park. No parking is available on site however, on street parking is available locally, many surrounding roads have no parking restrictions.
