Fairfax House transports you to the world of 1760s townhouse living, revealing the domestic interiors in which the Georgians would have walked, and the tastes and fashions of the day for architecture, interior design, food and entertainment. The house is always wonderful at Christmas time too!

Offering a unique perspective on over seven centuries of history, the Merchant Adventurers’ Hall is a building unlike any other.
The building is of major national importance, Grade I Listed and a Scheduled Ancient Monument. It was built between 1357 and 1361, before most of the craft or trade guild halls in Britain, making it one of the largest buildings of its kind and date in Britain. The Yorkshire Air Museum is one of the largest independent museums of aviation in the UK. It is located on the former site of RAF Elvington in North Yorkshire, a World War II airfield used extensively by Allied bomber crews. There is a lot to explore and learn at the museum, so if it’s your first visit allow at least 3-4 hours.
Entrance tickets are valid for 12 months, so on your next visit, you can seek out your favourite discoveries!
