We currently have the opportunity for an Apprentice to work in our busy Out of School club.
The successful candidate will be required to work 7.30am – 9am and 3pm to 6pm Monday
to Friday. Additional hours may be offered during school holidays.
Responsibilities
• To be able to work as part of a team and provide assistance to the other team
members.
• To support other team members in enabling them to provide a stimulating, safe and
caring environment which is fully inclusive and enables each child to reach their full
potential.
Principal Duties
1. To complete the required coursework set out by York Learning in order to complete the
selected apprenticeship course; Apprenticeship in Level 3 Early Years Educator (EYE)
2. To be aware of social, emotional, cognitive and physical needs of children. To participate
in the provision of stimulating activities and equipment to support their interests and
development. To assist at snack times in the preparation, serving, eating and clearing
away of drinks and snacks.
3. To liaise with staff and parents ensuring that parents receive accurate feedback and
information about their child’s day.
4. To work within the team to ensure that the children receive the highest standard of care
which promotes positive behaviour.
5. To ensure that the daily routine established by the Manager is effectively carried out,
whilst maintaining good safety and hygiene practice.
6. To attend staff and team meetings and training sessions as required (evenings and
occasional weekends).
6. To positively promote the independence of each individual child. To work with the team
to raise the quality of children’s learning.
7. To work within agreed policies and ensure Dringhouses principles are fully implemented.
8. Any other duties as required
Salary
The current salary is based on the minimum wage increasing depending on qualifications.
