York Explore Libraries – October Half Term

The Firework-Maker’s Daughter – A theatrical adventure
Back by popular demand, Next Door But One Theatre returns with their retelling of Philip Pullman’s classic story. It’s an inclusive, accessible performance featuring Makaton, magic and audience participation!  Find out more about this production on the Mumbler blog here.

Spooky Shakespeare – a Hoglets production
Join Hoglets Theatre for a funny, energetic and unique children’s theatre experience; a world of hand-made puppets, music and storytelling, all performed from a single suitcase.  This fun “spooky” show is aimed at primary aged children – and no prior knowledge of Shakespeare is required!
Note: We are covering plays like Hamlet and Macbeth, there is mention of murder and death and the supernatural themes of ghosts, witches and monsters. It is not overtly scary and is very silly but it may not be suitable for all children.

Knights of the Wobbly Table
Come and join in some Medieval Mayhem with author, Karen Langtree and her trusty knight, Sir Trumpsalot, from Karen’s bestselling book, Knights of the Wobbly Table. Tickets £3 – ticket price includes a signed copy of the Knights of the Wobbly Table book!  Suitable for children age 5+ years.

Dates/times/venues of all of the above are prebookable on Eventbrite via the Explore website here.  Tickets from £3 each.

There’s also a full programme of events at Tang Hall Explore library – find out more here!
