Many students will perform well at school but may lack confidence and self-esteem; it is those who can communicate and articulate effectively and present themselves confidently who will have the edge in today’s competitive world.
Many students are looking for an outlet to express themselves creatively without judgement, and a safe space where they can be themselves and feel good about who they are.
Our Development Through Drama Youth Theatre Programme can offer your child wonderful, ongoing support. Students meet for one hour each week and participate in dynamic drama classes aimed to:
* DEVELOP ONGOING CONFIDENCE
* BUILD SELF-ESTEEM
* ENCOURAGE RESILIENCE
* EMPOWER THEM VERBALLY
* HELP THEM DEVELOP THEIR SOCIAL INTERACTION SKILLS
* GIVE THEM THE CONFIDENCE TO ASK QUESTIONS AND SHARE THEIR OPINIONS
We have a Youth Theatre class on Tuesday from 7.15pm – 8.15pm at Wigginton School, Westfield Lane, Wigginton YO32 2FZ for children in Years 6, 7 & 8.
We also have a Youth Theatre class at Earswick Village Hall on Saturdays, but this is currently full.
Our drama classes are specifically designed to promote emotional well-being and boost self-esteem
Our acclaimed International Development Through Drama programme also increases children’s confidence, social and interaction skills and develops creativity and performance skills.
Classes are 1 hour long during term time and include a new play exploring new characters and themes each week.
