Sunday 8th October – The Apple Festival and Scarecrow Trail.
A day of Autumn fun across the village.
Carlton Play Group and Carlton Village Hall will be hosting this event and if you would like to exhibit a scarecrow, or take part in the apple bake off, time to get your thinking caps on.
Scarecrow theme – Children’s television characters. Anyone in the village is welcome to make a scarecrow for the day.
Bake Off – this year there will be prizes and rosettes up for grabs for the best Apple bake… this can be a tray bake, a crumble, a desert or a cake. There will be prizes for the junior bakers as well as the seniors. These can be registered on the day at Carlton Village Hall between 1 and 1.30pm.
