This is our fourth annual scarecrow weekend: come and join us!
On 23rd and 24th September Copmanthorpe will be full of superhero creations and we’re excited to welcome lots of people to our trail, both from within the village and also those of you who come from across York.
This year the event is raising money for a new and improved play park at the Recreation Centre. It’s hoped that the scarecrows will give a financial boost to a project aimed at adding inclusive play equipment so that children with disabilities can have fun alongside their peers.
Copmanthorpe’s Scarecrow Weekend will offer visitors lots of fun as they walk around the village and there will be famous faces and superheroes for everyone to spot.
Trail sheets will be on sale from the Rec, 10-4 on the Saturday and Sunday and there will be a prize for the most popular entry. Which one will be your favourite?
Refreshments will also be available.
