Bring a picnic, sit back and enjoy a summer’s afternoon of family entertainment in a beautiful setting.
Live music from local acts and activities for children – crafts, woodland trail, coconut shy and hook a duck!
This year to celebrate Bloom! Festival there’ll be a special fancy dress competition for children with the theme of ‘flowers and flowery friends’. There will also be the chance to have a go at posy making and buy locally grown flowers.
A range of local volunteer groups will be showcasing the brilliant work they do caring for the environment with the chance to have a go at special activities and find out more.
The event is in the field next to Millennium Bridge (Fishergate side, end of Maple Grove). Please walk or cycle to the event if you are able to. Nearest parking is at Hospital Fields Rd. Bring a picnic blanket or camping chair. Delicious refreshments available from Hallo Mallow.
The event relies on the help of volunteers so if you’d like to get involved or your voluntary group would like a stall please contact sara@yumiyork.org
