Nature Adventurers: Family Sessions at our Nature Reserve
Join us for family nature adventures in our urban greenspace with St Nicks’ staff and experienced forest school leader Christine Banham.
These micro-adventures will help you and your family to connect with nature and each other through activities like den-building, mini-beast hunts, games, storytelling and crafts
.
What parents say about our family sessions:
“It’s so nice seeing her playing in nature and getting muddy.”
“It’s really interesting seeing things through my kids’ eyes and seeing the things they’re interested in and they notice.”
Christine says:
“A muddy childhood spent in the fields and rivers of Yorkshire, adopting pet bugs and practicing tree climbing, proved a good foundation for becoming a forest school practitioner. I love exploring and adventuring in the outdoors, practicing bushcraft skills, cooking in the wild and foraging from the hedgerows.”
Christine is a qualified forest school practitioner with over 15 years of experience in nature-based education. She works with schools, children and families to explore the world around us, learning and discovering along the way.
Come dressed for the weather and be prepared to get messy!
