This year Spilmans are bracing themselves for a very busy lambing season with 75 expectant sheep ready to lamb! Soon they will be scanning the sheep to work out exactly how many lambs they can expect to be born during this event. As sheep can have 1, 2, 3 or even 4 lambs sometimes the farmers are going to be very busy!
When you visit Spilmans between the 19th and 27th of February you can see what lambing season is like on the farm. Children will love seeing newly born lambs and learning all about this special time of the year.
Joss Spilman is the (very busy!) sheep farmer on the farm. He will be giving educational talks every day with Bob the shepherd. A visit to Spilmans is a brilliant opportunity to learn all about sheep and farming and see LOTS of very cute newly born lambs!
There are a variety of other farm animals for you to see during your visit too! Look out for alpacas, chickens, ducks and even some rare breeds of sheep.
There are also some fairground rides for the kids to have fun on (additional charge applies).
Pre-booking a date & time slot online is essential – you can book your tickets in advance on Spilmans website here.
Tickets are £5 per person. Under 2’s are free, but require a ticket.
