Terrington Hall Open Days follow successful inspection report

Terrington Hall has just had a hugely positive Inspection report from the Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI), and you can see for yourselves why it’s so popular with local parents and their children.

The independent prep school, which accepts children from 3-13, is holding Open Days on Friday March 8^th and Saturday March 9^th. You’re invited to meet its staff and children and explore its classrooms and beautiful grounds.

Friday’s open day (1.30 – 4pm) is aimed at families with children in Years 3 – 8. Saturday (9.30am – 12 noon) is aimed at families looking for places in Nursery to Year 2.

Focus on kindness and friendship

Every pupil at Terrington Hall is nurtured as they grow into bright and sparky achievers who are well-prepared for their chosen senior school. From Nursery to Year 8, boys and girls thrive on the school’s exceptional pastoral care and focus on kindness and friendship.

The ISI inspectors visited in November and – although they no longer give grades such as excellent or good – found that Terrington Hall met every single one of its required standards. These related to:

• Leadership, management and governance
• The quality of education, training and recreation
• Pupils’ physical and mental health and emotional wellbeing
• Pupils’ social and economic education and contribution to society
• Safeguarding

Pupils “are confident they will be supported.” (ISI Inspection)

Other findings in the inspection report included:

• Pupils make good progress and are well prepared for transition to their senior schools.
• Terrington Hall’s values underpin a broad and balanced curriculum that caters to the needs of individuals.
• Effective teaching techniques stimulate pupils of all levels, encouraging independence and self-reflection.
• Pupils demonstrate thoughtfulness towards each other and enjoy positive relationships between different age groups.
• Leaders recognise and celebrate pupils’ successes, which boosts their confidence and self-esteem.
• Pupils learn the value of helping others and that they can make difference in the world.
• Pupils are confident they will be supported and value the care provided by all staff members.

Safe rural environment

Children and parents love Terrington Hall because of its stimulating atmosphere and safe, rural environment. Children attend as day pupils and can board on an occasional or weekly basis.
