Be brave at Treasurer’s House

Saturday 26 – Thursday 31 October 2019
, 11am – 4pm

Head to Treasurer’s House this Halloween for ghostly tours and spooky trails.

Ghost tours

There is something slightly eerie about a visit to the cellar at Treasurer’s House. Back in the 1950s, a young workman who was excavating the basement above the Roman Road that the house sits on had a ghostly sighting. He saw a legion of soldiers floating across the floor. The experience shook him to the core and today you can hear the famous tale and many of the other strange happenings on a tour to this otherwise inaccessible part of the House.

Tours are £4 and recommended for 5 years + at the parent or guardian’s discretion. You do not need to buy a house ticket for the tour.

Spot the spooks trail

Wander up and down the stairs in the house to spot the spooks and find out more about the ghostly sightings at Treasurer’s House. Dip into the trick or treat cauldron at the end for a surprise.

Normal admission charges apply. Free to enter for National Trust members and under-fives.
