We are a small shop and café based on Gillygate in York. Set in the heart of the minster quarter and sitting underneath the historic city walls, Love Cheese is a destination for local and tourist foodies. Our Selection of Continental, British and Yorkshire cheeses have been specially picked to cater for all. From Mild to Strong, Young to Mature, Hard to Soft, we will have something for everyone.

The Speakcheesey & Secret Garden
We have spent time tentatively selecting the irresistible selection of cheeseboards from soft and smelly to blended and flavoured, we have something for every palate. Fancy something to warm you up? Our toasties cover all bases from the Triple Cheese, to the Eiffel 65. You will enjoy a cheesey taste sensation. All toasties are loaded and filled to the brim!
A light-bite can be just as satisfying at Love Cheese, take home a bit of Love Cheese by stopping at our deli counter and cheese fridge and make your own cheese board at home, with our Olives of the Day and Cheese of the Month

Heslington Fresh Foods Ltd is a small family run business supplying fresh, dairy and chilled produce throughout Yorkshire and neighbouring areas. More recently due to the COVID-19 pandemic we have started a non contact doorstep delivery service (Monday to Friday) as well as a collection service from 6am- noon (Monday- Friday).

As well as free range milk Philip delivers Oat Milk, free range eggs, fresh orange juice in glass bottles, a selection of cheeses, premium quality butter and a large selection of longley farm products including cottage cheese and yoghurts.
Delivering to all areas in York with the exception of Copmanthorpe. Empty bottles are collected, returned to the dairy and reused.
