Christmas 2024

Join us on selected days this November/December for your chance to Meet Santa!! Book one of our slots with your admission tickets and have your chance to give him your Christmas list and receive a gift from the big fella. We have multiple 10 min slots available from 10:30am through till 14:00pm. With a maximum of 3 children per slot, if you require more children spaces please book the next slot as well.

If you show your ticket at the front desk, you will be shown on the map where to need to be to meet Santa. It will be in his Christmas Cabin next to our play area. Meet Santa tickets will include the child’s entrance ticket. Child tickets are £15.50 for age 3-15. Under 3’s are £5 per child and season ticket members will need to book a slot as well for £8 per child.

General Admission: We are also open for regular visits throughout the Christmas holidays, except for Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day, when we will be closed.

Christmas 2024

Book now to see Santa in his Magical Grotto! Each child will have a one on one experience with the Big Man Himself and before you leave, your child can choose a present of their choice! PLUS:

• Meet, stroke and feed all of our bigger farmyard friends in the barn and across the field! Grab a bag of animal feed from the reception desk (£1).
• Have a cuddle in our Touch and Tell Corner with all of our smaller furry residents! Book a time slot with a member of the Barn Team when you arrive.
• Play on our ride on toys, build a sandcastle in the Sandpit and let their imaginations run wild in our Playhouse.
• The Cafe will be open for light refreshments and Christmassy treats!

Pricing: £22 for First Child and an additional £16 for any other children.  Accompanying children and adults £2.50.

Father Christmas at Beningbrough
Storytime with Father Christmas – Shrunk in the Wash
7 – 22 December 2024, Saturdays and Sundays

Join Father Christmas for ‘Shrunk in the Wash’ – a brand new tale in the Victorian laundry. Book your place on a group experience with storytelling, a chat and gift from the man in red.

Father Christmas is visiting Beningbrough for one last time in the Victorian laundry before he moves to the hall next year. Hear him tell the new story of his latest laundry mishaps as he prepares for the big day ahead.

During each thirty minute session, every child will have a special moment to chat with Father Christmas and tell him the wonderful things they’ve been up to this year… and maybe share their gift ‘wish list’. Feel free to bring along a letter if you like!

There will be presents for the children at the end of the experience and the chance to take some festive snaps to remember the moment.

£12.50 per child, £6 per adult plus normal admission charges apply/free to National Trust members and under fives.

Take a trailer ride to see Santa and play at the farm all day, plus add a trip to the Elves workshop to your visit too.

Toddler Santa Visits: 16th – 19th December 2024
Enjoy a magical trailer ride to see Santa in his Grotto, have an individual chat with him and receive a special gift.  One adult is free with each ticket. There is no age limit so older children can attend if they are not at school.

Eat With Santa: Sunday 22nd December 2024
Enjoy a set meal in the tearoom with sandwiches, mince pies/cakes and hot or cold drink, plus a special visit from Santa at your table. Then visit the elves workshop before taking a trailer ride to Santa’s grotto where each child will receive a special gift from the big man himself.

SEN Christmas session: 21st December 3.30-5.30pm
Enjoy a magical trailer ride to see Santa in his Grotto, have an individual chat with him and receive a special gift.  Plus visit our elves’ workshop.

English Heritage property Brodsworth Hall was built in the 1860s. The restored Victorian pleasure gardens are the perfect place for a family adventure in the fresh air.
Please note that the house itself is closed for the winter season.  No dogs except for assistance dogs.

Father Christmas at Brodsworth Hall
Father Christmas is taking time out of his busy festive schedule to tell some of his favourite seasonal stories around the Christmas tree.  After the group storytelling session, you and your children will meet the man himself, with the chance to take photographs and make memories to treasure. Father Christmas will also give every child a traditional present to unwrap.

Tickets for Father Christmas cost £9.50 per child in advance, for members and non-members, and can be added at the checkout. Non-members will also need to purchase a ticket for the hall itself. Book tickets here.

Alice’s Christmas Wonderland

Curiouser and curiouser! Tumble down the rabbit hole into a Christmassy wonderland like no other.

Father Christmas in the Castle

Meet Father Christmas, Mrs Claus and jolly WonderPhil at Castle Howard this Christmas. Watch a joyful performance bursting with jingle bells and Christmas spirit, sing Christmas songs together, and enjoy a special, individual moment with Father Christmas himself. All children take home a Christmas gift.

Santa’s Grotto in the Boathouse

Christmas 2024

Christmas is coming, and here in Easingwold and our surrounding villages, nothing rings in the festive season quite like the arrival of the Easingwold District Lions Club’s Santa’s Sleigh! For many, it simply wouldn’t feel like Christmas without the cheerful Christmas music, twinkling lights, and, of course, Santa himself waving from his sleigh.

From December 1st right up until Christmas, we’ll be visiting almost every street in Easingwold and also many villages in the area, making sure as many families as possible get to see and enjoy the magic of Santa’s visit.

PLUS, we’re bringing back our Santa Tracker!  After a successful trial last year, we are once again giving you the ability to find Santa’s Sleigh in real time using your mobile phone, so you’ll always know where Santa and his sleigh will be.

The Santa’s Sleigh program is our main fundraising activity of the year, and it allows us to support so many good causes in our local community – from providing Defibrillators to BBQ’s for Springhill Court and for our local health initiatives such as screening for possible Prostate Cancer indicators.  Its all entirely powered by Lions members together with many local volunteers!

Yorkshire Air Museum – Christmas at Elfington 2024

At the Yorkshire Air Museum at Elvington near York you can get into the spirit of Christmas, including our grotto in a very special location – Santa Airlines.

Learn what Christmas would have been like here in 1944, when this was an active RAF base.

Watch the incredible story of ‘The Man Who Fell From the Sky’ in the cinema.

Enjoy Christmas food and drink in Café 77 and pick up a present or two from the shop.

And to cap it all – climb aboard Santa Airlines 2024, our grotto in the Dakota paratrooper aircraft.

Children of all ages will be guided by the elves and will do some crafts in the Departure Lounge, before heading to the hangar and climbing aboard their ‘flight’. Santa will then greet them and give each child a gift.

York’s favourite festive event is back!  Presented by HARIBO, Yorkshire’s Winter Wonderland, with its glistening outdoor ice rink, thrilling funfair, magical Santa’s Grotto and cosy alpine cafe, opens at York Designer Outlet on Friday 15th November 2024, offering a fun-filled winter experience for all ages until Sunday 5th January 2025.

Start your session into our enchanted gingerbread house ~ Find out if you’ve been naughty or nice, search for sweet treats and decorate your own gingerbread decoration whilst enjoying the magical UV lights.

Loopy Tooty will then take you through into the Winter Wonderland water room where you can enjoy a family snowball fight and some giant snowy messy play – can you find all the Snowman’s buttons and nose??!!

We will then take you to the elves magic workshop.
