We’ve listed all the Easter fun we can find in York! There are plenty of Easter Egg Hunts, Trails and Parties to choose from!
The Easter holidays are early this year, with schools finishing on 22nd March and back on Monday 8th April. Good Friday is on the 29th March, Easter Sunday 31st March and Easter Monday (and April Fools’ Day!) is on the 1st April.
There are lots of Easter Egg Hunts, Trails and Parties happening in York and we’ve also listed some that are further afield if you fancy a full day out.

Join a National Trust Easter egg hunt trail this school holiday. Follow the 10 adventure points around Beningbroughβs garden; how low can you limbo? Let your imagination roam in the storytelling den, have a go at hula an try your hand at egg rolling. Our popular Easter trail will be back again on Saturday 30th March. It will run from 10.30 til 16.00. There is a small prize for every correct trail sheet returned. Rumours have been going around of a sighting of a large bunny in the reserve, see if you can spot him hopping around tending to his carrot patch. There will be refreshments available on the day including freshly made hot sandwiches, homemade biscuits and cakes. Our own range of nature reserve branded clothing will be available along with our crafted hand made items to buy.

Our Rufforth Egg Hunt Eggstravaganza is back! As well as the Egg Hunt round the village, there will also be a BBQ and refreshments, a crafts table and stalls in the school hall, including Guess the Name of the Easter Bunny, a Silent Auction, Chocolate Tombola, Pick-a-Stick, second-hand book stall and Tattoos. Egg Maps will be available from the School Hall and the event starts at 11am. Everyone is welcome and all funds raised will be going towards the Rufforth Primary School PTA.

Come to Yolk Farm to do an Easter Egg Hunt! The Easter bunny has hidden giant eggs around the farm. Pick up a clue sheet, solve the riddles, and find the colourful eggs. If you complete the clues, you will spell out the name of one of our animals, and win a prize!
There will be plenty of spaces as the event is outside, but it’s a good idea to book a slot. The time slots are at 30 minute intervals, but you have as long as you like to complete the hunt.
