**NEW** Mini Wild Things for parents with babies and toddlers (up to 17 months)
Monday afternoons. A chance to immerse you & your baby in nature. There will be lots of sensory play, mindful activities to help us slow down and enjoy nature around us, and creative activities using natural materials.
It’s also a group for parents to come together to meet others and to enjoy some nature based crafts (these will be particularly aimed at parents with babies) A hot drink for adults is included.
Explorer Club – for children aged 18 months to 5 years
These run on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. During the sessions there are lots of explorative play, child-led activities and that all important connection with nature. Children learn about nature, learn how to take (managed) risks, develop resilience for being outdoors in all weathers, and develop their creativity and imagination. We end with a campfire and hot chocolate.
Wild Things has adapted its sessions in light of the pandemic – we have more hand washing stations, less shared resources and a thorough cleaning procedure between sessions. Booking is essential and spaces are limited.
All sessions run in a wooded area, in the grounds of Millthorpe School (Nunthorpe Avenue, YO23 1WF).
